About Us

Modern Weddings Co. is a Michigan-based boutique film company redefining the wedding film process. With a background in cinematic storytelling, we turn your day into a film you'll actually want to watch, for years to come.

Our Packages

  • We currently offer ONE main package; ESSENCE: Includes a FULL-DAY coverage capturing the heart of your wedding day. Compiled and edited seamlessly to give you a short highlight of your special day.

  • We also offer a UNIQUE ADD-ON service; PRELUDE : A documentary-style short film where we interview the couple about the story of how they met. Shot days/weeks prior to the wedding, this film could be played before their grand entrance at the reception or can be perserved for the future.

WHY HIRE US?

Cinematic quality for a fraction of the cost. Save thousands of dollars compared to the typical wedding film package. Put that money toward your upcoming honeymoon, future home purchase, kids college fund or even another adventure down the line. Unlike traditional videography, we focus on storytelling, tone, and emotion. We believe wedding films shouldn't be two hours long. We capture the important parts and piece them together to create a short highlight of your memorable day. Delivered in digital 4K, you can watch it on your phone, TV screen, or share it with friends and family. Our experience with more complex jobs in the market also gives you that ease of mind. You don’t have to worry about anything. Just go on about your day, and let us capture it for you.

Personal Message from The Founder

I’ve always known I wanted to be a filmmaker, but like many of us, I felt the weight of cultural expectations. Growing up, there was a strong push toward medicine, law, or engineering—and while I initially followed that path, I eventually realized that what worked for past generations wasn’t necessarily meant for me.

Even so, my time studying engineering taught me valuable skills I still use today: time management, creative problem-solving, and thinking on my feet. But deep down, I knew my calling was in storytelling.

Wedding films became my creative playground. They taught me how to connect with people on a real, human level—and how to honor the trust couples place in me to capture one of the most meaningful days of their lives. Because of my background in editing, I approach wedding days with a clear vision and an editor’s mindset, often filming solo with intention and precision. I plan ahead, prep shotlists, and focus on telling a cohesive, cinematic story—not delivering a 3-hour uncut video, but a highlight film that captures the true essence of the day.

I’ve worked on large commercial sets with film crews that consist of many talented people, and while I could easily scale up, install cranes, and charge tens of thousands like many in the industry do—that’s not what Modern Weddings Co. is about. We’re here for the couples who value intentional filmmaking, emotional storytelling, and mindful budgeting.

If that sounds like you, let’s connect.
